All of Lorraine's ambitions are fulfilled. Europe--and Genevieve--are his. But Genevieve grows more and more horrified as Lorraine descends into darkness, even as Julien and Isabelle grow closer . . .

Meanwhile, Julien's problems with Inquisitor Moricant are laid to rest--permanently. He and Isabelle infiltrate the Castle of the Holy Grail, there to lay a trap for Lorraine, but neither are prepared for the horror awaiting them inside.
